Firstly they are of different position.KOBE is shooting guard while lebron is small forward.Below i will try to explain why.

People use to say WHEN Kobe can do TripleDouble.Kobe showed them in his previous 2 game out of 3.Getting tripledouble.IT SHOWS KOBE IS GOOD.People say Lebron cant shoot,WHAT ABOUT THE BUZZER BEAT WHEN VSING WARRIORS?WHAT WAS THAT?SO since u cant play better than the 2 juz don comment.BOTH LEBRON AND KOBE IS GOOD~~ I believe both can get a place in the legend.

Eastern starters:Howard(center),Wade(shooting guard),Iverson(point guard),James(small forward),KevinGarnett(power forward).
